This self-initiated mapping project was designed and executed entirely by me, from concept to completion, using ArcGIS Pro. The map investigates the spatial relationship between urban centers, health facilities, and major transportation routes in Borno State, Nigeria, a region significantly impacted by conflict and humanitarian challenges.
By sourcing relevant data and applying advanced cartographic design and spatial analysis techniques, I created a traditional map that visually communicates accessibility to essential health services in relation to infrastructure.
This project reflects real-world humanitarian mapping needs, with a focus on public health planning and crisis response. It showcases my ability to integrate geospatial data, apply design principles, and produce a clear, impactful map that supports data-driven decision-making in complex environments.
